How does ScholarMENA verify a scholarship before publishing it?
Four checks, enforced by our publishing system: a human editor opens the provider's official page; the deadline is read on that page; eligibility and benefits are taken from it; and the last-verified date and verifying editor are recorded. Our Editorial Policy explains the full process.

Does ScholarMENA charge applicants or process applications?
No. We never charge applicants and never ask for documents or payment. We are not the scholarship provider: applications happen only on the provider's official site. If someone claiming to represent ScholarMENA asks you for money or documents, report it to [email protected].

Does the Gates Cambridge Scholarship have a minimum GPA requirement?
No. Gates Cambridge's FAQ says it does not have a minimum GPA that applicants must have achieved. Your Cambridge course may set its own academic requirements.

Does the Gates Cambridge Scholarship require an English language test score?
Not for the scholarship itself. Gates Cambridge's FAQ says it has no English test score requirement, but the University of Cambridge does.

If my Gates Cambridge application is not successful, can I apply again in a later year?
Yes. Gates Cambridge's FAQ says a previous unsuccessful application does not affect how a candidate is considered in future. It also says it does not give feedback on unsuccessful applications.

What happened to Chevening's English language requirement?
Chevening's FAQ says it was removed in 2020. You still have to meet your university's English requirement to get the unconditional offer that Chevening requires by 8 July 2027.

What does a Chevening Scholarship cover?
According to Chevening's FAQ: tuition fees, a monthly stipend (with different rates inside and outside London), economy travel to and from the UK, the visa application cost, arrival and departure allowances, a travel top-up allowance and up to £75 for TB testing where required. Cover is for the scholar only.

How do I apply for the KAUST Fellowship?
There is no separate application. KAUST's FAQ says all admitted students automatically receive the Fellowship, so you apply for admission to one MS or PhD programme. Students with some external sponsorship may not be eligible.

What does it cost to apply to KAUST?
Nothing. KAUST's FAQ says there is no cost to submit an application. You may apply to only one academic programme per year.

Do I need to submit an English test score to KAUST if my studies were in English?
Yes, unless your degree is from an accredited institution in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand, or from KAUST. A degree taught in English at an Arab university does not exempt you. The minimum is TOEFL iBT 81 or IELTS 6.5.

Is there an application fee for Knight-Hennessy Scholars?
No. Knight-Hennessy's FAQ says there is no application fee for Knight-Hennessy Scholars, but you must pay any application fee your Stanford graduate degree programme charges.

What if my transcript is not in English?
Knight-Hennessy's FAQ says transcripts and degree documents in another language must come with an official English translation. KAUST asks for an official translation if your university does not provide one.
