ScholarMENA is a scholarship discovery site for applicants from the GCC and the wider Arab world. This page explains who runs it, who it is for, how we check every listing before it goes live, and how the site is funded.
Who we are
ScholarMENA (scholarmena.com) is an independent scholarship discovery site. Listings and guides are produced by the ScholarMENA Editorial Team, led by our Editor-in-Chief. The site is published in English, with an Arabic edition at https://scholarmena.com/ar/.
What we publish
We publish structured scholarship records from anywhere in the world: bachelor’s, master’s and PhD scholarships, postdoctoral positions and fellowships, and short programs. Each record sets out the same information in the same order, so you can compare opportunities quickly: who offers it, who can apply, what it covers, what you need to submit, the deadline, and a link to the official page.
Who is ScholarMENA for?
We select scholarships for applicants from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and the rest of the Arab world. International readers are welcome too, and many of the scholarships we list are open to applicants from any country. Where a scholarship is limited to certain nationalities, the record says so.
How we verify
A record cannot be published on ScholarMENA until it passes four checks. Our publishing system enforces them; an editor cannot skip them.
- We open the official application page. A human editor opens the provider’s official URL. Reposts, forums and third-party summaries are not accepted as the source.
- We read the deadline on the official source. The deadline on our page is the one the provider publishes. If the provider accepts applications all year, the record is marked as rolling.
- We take eligibility and benefits from the source. Who can apply and what the scholarship covers come from the provider’s own page, not from memory or from other websites.
- We record who verified it and when. Every record stores a last-verified date and the editor who verified it.
On every record you will see the official source link, the last-verified date and a status: open, expiring soon or closed. A record closes automatically when its deadline passes, and deadlines are checked daily. Closed listings stay online, marked “Closed”, as a reference for the next application cycle.
What we are not
- We are not the scholarship provider. We do not process applications, and applications happen only on the provider’s official site.
- We never charge applicants, and we never ask you for documents or payment.
- We are not affiliated with the providers we list, unless a page states otherwise.
- We do not choose a scholarship for you or assess your personal chances.
If someone claiming to represent ScholarMENA asks you for money or documents, it is not us. Please report it to [email protected].
How we make money
ScholarMENA is funded by advertising, including Google AdSense. Ads are clearly marked “Advertisement”. In future we may add affiliate links and sponsored listings; they will always be labelled. Advertisers and sponsors never influence which scholarships we list or how they are verified.
How we use AI
AI tools may help us draft and translate text. Every published record is verified and approved by a human editor. Our Editorial Policy explains the full process, including corrections.
